SENIOR STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH
(Working with England Women’s Cricket)
Based at Loughborough University
Salary: £34,500 - £38,000 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Your role:
The post holder will contribute to the achievement of the aims and objectives of the English Institute of Sport and England Wonem's Cricket through:
• Leading the development of Strength and Conditioning (S&C) services across the England Women’s Cricket Pathway, working closely with the other ECB Science & Medicine disciplines. The applied practice elements of the role will be keenly focused on ECB Science & Medicine’s aim of optimising England's best players’ availability and performance through the provision of cricket's best science and medicine services.
• Working with the EIS, ECB teams and other regional network points to create a world class high performance training environment
• Deliver support to players and coaches in the England women’s program. This will include training camps and competitive tours within the UK and overseas, with periods of overseas travel during the winter months
You should have:
• A qualification at degree level (or equivalent) in sports science or related area specialising in the area of physical preparation of elite athletes
• United Kingdom Strength & Conditioning Association (UKSCA) accreditation
• Considerable experience in the provision of strength and conditioning services to athletes and coaches to improve performance. This experience should include work with national teams and their athletes.
