The EIS team behind Disability Archery
The EIS has worked with Archery GB’s programme for athletes with a disability for about 5 years, predominantly delivering support through camps at the National Archery Training Centre in Lilleshall, Shropshire.
Over the past Paralympic Cycle, the sport has begun to integrate the expertise across the programme.
Performance Lifestyle support has been delivered on an individual basis, predominantly working on nearest and dearest activities around the Games, liaison with agents, athlete access to local training facilities, management of Personal Development Awards amongst other areas.
“Through the integrated service provision we have built into Archery with the aid of EIS, we are able to provide a far more comprehensive programme to all the current archers within the World Class programme which enables them to train more effectively and smartly with the aim of medal success” Sara Symington, Performance Director, Archery GB.
