The EIS supports nearly 1,500 elite athletes who are currently on the UK Sport World Class Pathway programme representing Summer Olympic, Summer Paralympic and Winter Olympic sports.

In addition, we also provide support to a number of elite athletes representing Sport England funded sports such as squash, rugby, golf, cricket and women's football.

We also provide medical service provision to a number of young talented athletes on the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS).

The majority of the athletes we support recieve funding for sports science and medical support through their National Governing Body (NGB). The NGB and EIS representatives then work collaboratively to agree a support package that is appropriate to that team and/or individual. The support package may encompass all or some services offered by the EIS.
