SERVICE COORDINATOR (maternity cover)
Based at EIS/Loughborough University
Salary: £30,000-£40,000 p.a pro-rata
Hours: 30 hours per week
This is a fixed term contract until March 2013, covering maternity leave and therefore preferred start from mid-September 2012. Secondments also considered for this post.
Your role:
The post holder will contribute to the achievement of the aims and objectives of the English Institute of Sport through:
• Contributing and assisting the Performance Operations Manager (POM) in creating a world leading training and support environment that significantly impacts on the preparation of athletes and coaches
• Part of the regional management team and a key operational partner of the POM in external relationships as well as the direction and ethos of the region
• Managing agreed projects, arrangements and relationships with East Midlands partners, including as appropriate NGB’s. These arrangements should complement, extend and influence the preparation and performances of athletes and coaches
• As appropriate, managing and supporting the development of practitioners and being accountable for the impact of their work.
You should have:
• A qualification at degree level or equivalent in Sports Management, Sports Science or Sports Medicine or relevant discipline
• Significant, demonstrable experience working in a high performance sports environment, including with athletes and coaches, to improve performance. This experience should include work with national/high performing teams and their athletes
• Demonstrated experience of strategic planning, implementation and monitoring of support services to high performance athletes
