TALENT SCIENTIST (maternity cover)
Based at EIS Loughborough
Salary: £27,500 - £34,499 per annum pro rata
Hours: 37 hours per week
This is a fixed term appointment, covering maternity leave, until 31 March 2013.
Your role:
The post holder will contribute to the achievement of the aims and objectives of the English Institute of Sport and UK Sport’s 2013/2017 Athlete Development Strategy by:
• Leading the day-to-day analysis and write-up of projects within the four work streams (Technical Frontline Solutions, Education, Pathway Analytics, Research into Practice).
• Reviewing and disseminate in coach friendly formats, project findings to guide and influence improved practices of elite athlete development in sports.
• Contributing to the development of the Talent alert service: A monthly e-broadcast to all sports and related partners providing cutting edge, thought-provoking, evidence based information bespoke to elite athlete development in coach-friendly formats.
You should have:
• A minimum PhD degree in any of the Sports Sciences or related disciplines
• Extensive, demonstrable experience within high performance sport
• Experience of leading and undertaking advanced statistical analysis, using SPSS, KaleidaGraph and GraphPad Prism
