Iain Percy and Andrew Simpson have won Team GB’s first sailing medal on what could be a historic day in Weymouth and Portland after claiming silver in the men’s star.

The pair had high hopes of defending the title they won in Beijing, but had to settle for silver behind Sweden’s Fredrik Loof and Max Salminen after finishing 8th in the men’s star medal race.
