Sports Put Services In Place

Several sports have now announced their partnership with the English Institute of Sport (EIS) for sport science and medical services over the next Olympic and Paralympic cycle.
Ensuring those practitioners with the best experience and expertise are in place to deliver support services, has led to sports securing EIS staff within their performance programmes.
“I am delighted that sports are beginning to finalist their plans for the support services they require from the EIS and am pleased that we are now at the same stage of the process with so many other sports, which we anticipate will be completed in the coming weeks” says Conor O’Shea, EIS National Director.
“Following the success of the Beijing Games, keeping the edge over the competition is perhaps one of the biggest challenges. Sports are now putting plans in place to build upon the foundations of the last cycle and maximise the impact that sport science and medicine can have upon performance” he adds.
