Superb Day Five for GB in the Pool

ParalympicsGB enjoyed a superb day in the pool on day five of the London 2012 Paralympic Games as Ellie Simmonds claimed her second gold of the games by setting a new world record in the women’s S6 200m Individual Medley.
Other medal winners in the Aquatics centre included Sascha Kindred, who won silver in the Men’s S6 200m Individual Medley, whilst there were bronze medals for Natalie Jones, who finished third behind Simmonds in the women’s S6 200m Individual Medley, Susie Rogers in the Women’s S7 100m Freestyle and the Women’s 4x100m Freestyle Relay team made up of Stephanie Millward, Claire Cashmore, Susie Rogers and Louise Watkin.
Elsewhere Natasha Baker won her second individual dressage gold medal of London 2012 in the Grade II Individual Freestyle Test at Greenwich Park, where Lee Pearson also won bronze in the Grade Ib Individual Freestyle Test.
Mickey Bushell won gold in the T53 Men’s 100m whilst at the ExCeL, Welshman Paul Davies took bronze in the Class 1 Singles table tennis with a victory over South Korea's Lee Chang-Ho.
Great Britain remain second on the medals table with 63 medals with 19 golds, 25 silvers and 19 bronze.
