EIS Alumni Group launched
The English Institute of Sport (EIS) is delighted to announce the launch of its Alumni Group for former employees to help them to stay connected to the organisation and other alumni.
The Alumni Group is hosted by the EIS on LinkedIn and will provide a platform for our alumni to connect and network after leaving the EIS.
The group will be used to highlight good news stories, encourage discussion, and share experiences to inspire others, learn and create ideas going forward. There will also be a focus on collaborating and working with the EIS’s wider network to find the best solutions that help sports and athletes excel.
As well as this, it will be used as a platform to post the latest job opportunities at the EIS which group members can apply for themselves or share across their networks.
Jaqui Perryer, Group HR Director, said:
“Our aim is to create a forum for a thriving, engaged alumni community where we and past employees can stay connected.
“The Alumni Group provides a platform to connect and network with other alumni and share knowledge, ideas and their experience. The group will also benefit from having the latest opportunities at the EIS highlighted to them.
“The door is always open at the EIS and, as a learning organisation, we really value the external experiences that past employees gain and can bring back to us.”
Nigel Walker, National Director, added:
“We have always prided ourselves on the strength and breadth of our network, and I’ve heard it said before that you can’t move far within the High Performance System without bumping into someone who began or at least spent part of their career at the EIS.
“I can think of no better time to ensure we can stay in touch with old colleagues, celebrate their achievements, and extend the EIS family to continue beyond the day you leave us.”
Once established, the Alumni Group will continually develop with the intention of expanding beyond just digital in the future to in-person events.
