EIS CEO (National Director) Vacancy

The EIS is recruiting a CEO (National Director) to join the organisation, to lead the EIS through to the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games and beyond.

Described as ‘one of the most interesting and impactful roles in high performance sport’, this is an exciting opportunity to join the EIS at an important time, as we prepare for a truly unique three-year Olympic cycle.

The EIS is unlike any other organisation in high-performance sport, focussed on its mission of delivering outstanding support that enables sports and athletes to excel.

The EIS is made up of c.400 people who form an unrivalled network of experts in Sports Science, Medicine, Technology and Innovation, delivering people-first solutions to over 40 Olympic and Paralympic sports.

The successful candidate for this role will have the opportunity to lead the refining and driving of the future strategic direction for the EIS through to Paris and beyond.

A key part of being the CEO (National Director) is leading our people, so this role will require someone who can provide inspirational and authentic leadership to the EIS, role modelling our values and supporting all our brilliant people to feel motivated and able to deliver.

The individual will also be required to work in partnership with key stakeholders in National Governing Bodies, the Home Country Sports Institutes and UK Sport.

The successful candidate will replace Nigel Walker OBE, who will depart the EIS after over a decade as the current CEO (National Director) during autumn 2021.
