Lucy Lomax | 20 June 2019

A dozen EIS practitioners have been selected to travel as part of the Team GB support staff to the 2019 European Games in Minsk, Belarus.

The Games will see 50 countries compete in over 15 sports across ten days of competition, beginning on Friday 21st June.

EIS practitioners involved include two performance analysts across the sports of judo and boxing, a performance psychologist, two sports medicine physicians, plus multiple physios and soft tissue therapists across a number of sports.

EIS Director of Science and Technical Development Kevin Currell said

β€œIt’s brilliant to see so many EIS employees involved in the European Games and travelling out to Minsk to support their sports and athletes on the front line.

β€œIt’s testament to the organisation that these practitioners have been called upon to offer their services in a world-class sporting environment.”
