English Institute of Sport and Leaders to continue partnership

James Platt | 17 December 2019

The English Institute of Sport (EIS) and Leaders are continuing their partnership, connecting people across elite sport to share insight, knowledge and innovation on improving performance.

The partnership provides the Leaders global network with cutting-edge insight from the EIS into sports science, medicine, technology and innovation, as well as pioneering new initiatives such as the EIS mental health programme.

Content and intelligence from the EIS will be shared across Leaders’ multimedia platform, while the EIS will continue to engage with Leaders’ own global sports network, including speakers at high-profile Leaders events.

The partnership between the EIS and Leaders will run until October 2020.

Nigel Walker, National Director at the EIS, said:

“The EIS is unlike any other organisation within elite sport, with our unique network of knowledge and 300 plus experts embedded in multiple Olympic and Paralympic sports.

“Partnering with Leaders, and its own world-renowned network across sport, enables us to share and discuss content, intelligence and innovations with the global sporting community, putting us right at the centre of conversations with the best sports organisations in the world.”

Oliver Escritt, Head of Membership at Leaders in Sport, said:

“We are delighted to be partnering with the EIS for another year and to continue to challenge thinking and share insights across our respective unrivalled networks.

“Our high-performance community have made a whole hearted (and minded) commitment to continuous improvement in everything they do, and I can think of no better way to further support this commitment than through our partnership with the EIS.”

Glenn Hunter, Performance Innovation Consultant at the EIS, recently led a panel discussion at the Leaders Sport Performance Summit at Twickenham in November on designing the high-performance environment to impact performance behaviours.
