The EIS is proud to work alongside British Athletics and has worked with the national governing body for over a decade.
The Institute predominantly delivers support to athletes at Loughborough but also at numerous sites across the country including Sheffield, Manchester and Birmingham.
The EIS support staff are integrated within the British Athletics team, often travelling away to training camps and competitions as part of their roles.
In addition to network medical cover across the network, athletes have access to Strength & Conditioning, Physiology, Physiotherapists, Soft Tissue Therapy, Psychology, Nutrition and Performance Lifestyle support.
British Athletics Performance Director Neil Black says: “The EIS and British Athletics are in partnership, working together to support athlete performances. We’re one team.
“The EIS has been a primary driver of the What it Takes to Win (WITTW) model and that focus on bringing your best performance on a given day. The performance solutions team at the EIS have really supported and developed us in our understanding of that.”
